That’s how you know if the Sun in Cancer is afflicted or not. Cancer indicates the North Direction, where Shiva meditates. The good Sun in Cancer does not like to put its name out there to get attention, but an afflicted Sun in Cancer does. Even if he saved people then and saved us now, he still did not claim the title.

What happened when his Rahu Dasa started?

Generally, we can consider Dasa as a season. When Dasa changes, a season changes. For example, from Winter to Spring. The transition between 2 seasons is often uncomfortable. It’s not cold, it’s not warm. Until we get to the middle of the season, when the body is fully adapted, we feel better. Similarly, when Dasa changes, depending on how long the Dasa is, the first quarter of a Dasa is usually uncomfortable (not good, or bad); we just need time to adapt to the new condition.

Rahu does not cause the event. When it gets warmer, flowers bloom, … we call it spring. On another planet, they might call it something else. Here on Earth, we call it spring. That’s it.

When Rahu Dasa began, Alex Fleming had just finished school. He did not study immediately, but worked in a shipping office for four years. In the graph (self-made by me, not software generated, in case you ask) from 1899 until 1904, his level of comfort was low, sometimes below 15%.

If there’s a marriage, Rahu must be present. (There’s no reason to be afraid of Rahu at all.) Whether Rahu is in the Dasa, Dasa Bhukti, or Rahu’s association. In December 1915, he got married. His level of comfort is much higher than before.

What can we expect when the Rahu Mahadasa starts?

• Season changes. A little bit shaking at the beginning, and requires effort to adapt.
• Wherever Rahu is placed, that house, sign, lord, and planet in it will be activated.
• It won’t be the same for everybody. Check your chart carefully!
